Just Say It!

It seems like there is a great need these days for people to express themselves. Everyone has a need to say something, yet

much of what is being said is not spoken verbally.

Everywhere we look we see someone’s words or ideas inscribed

on everything from bumper stickers to T-Shirts. It seems to be

a whole new way of conversing without uttering a single word.

The extrovert can take a break, relying on his trusty bumper sticker,

while the introvert can shout through a phrase on his T-Shirt.

Along with bumper stickers and T-Shirts, we could add many more

items with words and phrases such as hats, purses, wrist bands,

jewelry, and even computer screen savers or billboards.

It could be that people feel it is safer than actually expressing

something out loud or maybe it is just a way of announcing ideas,

thoughts, and feelings more quietly. It does tend to keep ideas at

the forefront where they’re constantly seen in plain sight.

We see the names of companies along with their logos on these items. Whatever club or group that you belong to usually offers a T-Shirt

or bumper sticker with their name on it. Everywhere a person goes,

whether on vacation or just shopping, these T-Shirts, hats,

and stickers can be found. If you don’t like what is available, you

can even make your own T-Shirt and express your own ideas.

Here are a few of the more humorous phrases that might

be seen on a T-Shirt or bumper sticker.

Bumper stickers:

If you can read this, I've lost my trailer.

My other car is a broom.

"3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't."

Be nice to your kids. They'll choose your nursing home.

Seen on an old, beat-up car: "This is not an abandoned vehicle."

"I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather....
.... Not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car."

T-Shirts:

My wife keeps complaining I never listen to her
...or something like that.

I is a college student.

Nobody's perfect. I'm a Nobody.

My wife said, "If you go hunting or fishing one more time

I'm going to leave you" ...I'm sure going to miss her.

People like you are the reason people like me need medication.

Sometimes I wake up grumpy; Other times I let him sleep.
